Then again, Grandpa might have appreciated the ammo can.

The Prairie Provision starts life as an actual .30-cal ammo can. We take it from there, installing removable Spanish cedar trays, adding a digital hygrometer and engraving each can right here in our Iowa workshop.

The original rubber gasket seal helps keep the can sealed tight, while the Spanish cedar interior gives your cigars a proper place to hang out.

Because cigars deserve better than getting tossed in a drawer next to the batteries and instruction manuals nobody reads.

This isn't a wooden box painted green to look tactical.

It's a real .30-cal ammo can converted into a cigar humidor.

We install the cedar interior ourselves, add the digital hygrometer and engrave each can in our workshop.

Is it slightly excessive?

Probably.

That's part of the appeal.

Inside The Prairie Provision

Open it up and you'll find removable Spanish cedar trays that keep your cigars organized while still giving you access to the space inside.

The trays can be removed when you need to rearrange things or make room.

A digital hygrometer lets you monitor the humidity level without relying on the highly scientific method of opening the lid and saying, “Eh, seems humid.”
